Burnie's 240+ Masters crew recently won gold in their division at the ASRL Open Boat carnival held at Eloura, New South Wales. The crew competed in 3 round robin races and accrued the highest point score winning their division. The conditions were reported to be very difficult due to big surf but the crew displayed great courage and managed to power through. The crew included from left: Ian Guest (Sweep), David McCarthy, Damian Pursell, Wayne Butler and Richard Norton.
